How To Clean A Microwave, Home Remedy To Remove Food & Odors From Microwave Oven
If everything was as easy to clean as a microwave, we’d have it made! The home remedy to remove food and odors from a microwave uses items you most likely already have in the kitchen, and takes about 5 minutes, with the microwave doing most of the work for you!
Use a coffee cup or other small microwave safe cup or bowl. Fill it half full of water. Add 1 tablespoon full of baking soda to the water OR squeeze the juice from half a lemon in the water.
Place the cup in the microwave and set the microwave on high and run for 5 minutes. Do not open the microwave door at the end of the 5 minute cycle, allow it to set for another 5 minutes.

The water will boil, creating steam inside the microwave that will loosen all the baked on food, and the baking soda or lemon juice will deodorize the microwave’s interior.
Dip a paper towel or dish cloth in the cup of water to dampen, then wipe the microwave clean.
